FoundationDB

FoundationDB builds the world's most advanced Key-Value Store. It uniquely combines a distributed / horizontally scalable design, exceptional fault tolerance, ease of operation and administration, and true, high performance ACID transactions. The FoundationDB Document Layer is a stateless microserver that exposes a document-oriented database API. The Document Layer speaks the MongoDB wire protocol, allowing the use of the MongoDB API via existing MongoDB client bindings. All persistent data are stored in the FoundationDB Key-Value Store. Usage instructions

Once the instance is running, access your instance via SSH using the username 'root' and your EC2 SSH Key (PEM file). The default server administrator is 'root'. The database and applications will be up and available when the instance is started. Ensure that your EC2 security group allows access over port 4500 and 27016. - In order to perform hands-on and explore FoundationDB, the AMI is included with FoundationDB Client. - Open FoundationDB Client ''fdbcli'' present under ''/usr/bin/'' - Pass command ''help'' which lists all available commands with brief description - The AMI is also included with FoundationDB Document Layer. This is an optional extension for using the FoundationDB as a document-oriented database - Document Layer can be connected through IP (public IP of the instance) and port number 27016, no authentication required from Mongo shell which is also included in the AMI
